Organic dairy farm's open day

AN ORGANIC farm held an open day on Thursday to celebrate some of its new products.

Marion and David Harding, of Court Lodge Farm, Wartling, make organic drinking yoghurts. The milk for the products is taken from the farm's own organic herd, which grazes on the Pevensey Levels.

Many local traders and other visitors attended the open day where they had a chance to taste the farms products.

The couple were especially keen to find out what people thought of their new sugar-free banana yoghurt.
Marion said, 'We wanted children to try it to see if they said 'yuck' but they didn't. 'They seemed to like it so that's good news.'

Visitors were also given the chance to see how and where the yoghurts were made. Children were then: taken to see the cows being milked.

Marion and David have been dairy farming atCourt Lodge for 15 years and have been fully organic since 2001. Their products are for sale in local farm shops including Sharnfold Farm, Hailsham Road, Stone Cross, and Fairfield Farm, Eastbourne Road, Westham.
